Newsletter signup · Updated 29 October 2026

Probrano is a weekly newsletter about Zagreb. If you subscribe, we use your email address to send the newsletter and manage your subscription. The signup form does not ask for your name or other personal details.

Who is responsible?

Andrej Tačigin operates Probrano and is responsible for newsletter subscriber information. You can contact him at hello@probrano.hr.

What we use and why

We use your email address and subscription status to send the weekly newsletter and respect your choice to subscribe or unsubscribe. The legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given through the unchecked signup checkbox. Providing an email address is voluntary; without it, we cannot deliver the newsletter. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Where your information goes

Resend manages the subscriber list, delivery, and unsubscribe status. Cloudflare hosts the website and processes signup requests. These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and delivery or security logs to operate and protect their services. We do not sell subscriber addresses.

Our providers operate internationally and may process information outside the European Economic Area. Their processing terms describe the safeguards for those transfers: Resend’s data processing terms and Cloudflare’s data processing terms.

How long we keep it

Your address stays on the active newsletter list while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, newsletter delivery stops. A minimal unsubscribe or suppression record may remain to prevent future unwanted sends. Delivery and security records may also be retained by our providers under their retention policies. To request deletion of your subscriber information, contact hello@probrano.hr.

Your choice and your rights

Each newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact hello@probrano.hr to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. Where processing relies on a legitimate interest, you can object. You may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency, AZOP, or your local supervisory authority.

Protecting signup from automated abuse

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to check signup requests. Cloudflare processes browser and connection information for this check. We also store short-lived, secret-key-hashed network and email identifiers in Cloudflare to limit repeated attempts. The rate-limit database does not store the original email address or IP address. Counters expire within an hour; expired rows are removed when subsequent requests reach the rate limiter. This processing supports our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and protecting the newsletter service.

Website and email activity

The website does not add advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Depending on the settings used for an edition, Resend may record email opens or link clicks, as well as delivery failures and unsubscribes. We do not make automated decisions or profile subscribers for advertising.
